This quilt has been pieced and waiting to be quilted for far too long. The quilt is the product of a block exchange with friends in memory of Marlene Ball. Marlene was an avid quilter and an exceptional person. Finishing this quilt made me smile with memories of time spent together and also brought some tears.
I am happy that the quilt is finished. I will remember Marlene's beautiful smile when I look at it.

I remember a lot of those blocks being posted on our board. Nice finish.
I should get mine out and quilt it this year. Out of sight, out of mind! I'll have to find it. Your's looks great!
I still miss Marlene. She was a sweetie.
I like the quilt. Good job.
Bon
I like this one...you've done a great job on the quilting!
Marlene was a dear friend to me especially when I lived in the Bay Area. I loved her smile and her warm heart!
It's so nice to see these blocks made up! It makes me sad to think of mine buried, but I haven't even finished enough blocks. It took Marlene's memory to get me to buy Civil War fabrics.
Then there are the Lost Socks. At least I got that together.
